I am board gamer that enjoys playing all times of games. My only exception is role playing. I have never been able to get into this genre. My favorite area is wargames because I am a military history lover and enjoy the diplomacy and thinking needed to play them. Look forward to seeing the site get going in the next few months.

That's okay. I was lucky that my dad started me with the American Civil War at a young age. Otherwise, I would never have found out about this time period. My mom and stepdad don't like book reading stuff. What are you learning about right now?

Hi Rick, I also have never really gotten into roleplaying. Other than that though, I like all sorts of games. There is a game for every mood. :)

Lately, I've been into both cooperative games like Pandemic, Shadows over Camelot or meatier games like Twilight Imperium (just started playing it). In between, I like some abstract game action. :)

Well, I'm reading a lot of history revolving around the Revolutionary War these days (current book is more of an ideological history - Boorstin's "The Americans: the Colonial Experience"). I've also taken a short detour into the history of American railroading (which involves a good deal about the Civil War), reading some books by John Stover.

Cool, I have TI3 and Shadows as well although I traded away Pandemic because it got too repetitive. Now with the new expansion, I want to see what has changed about the game.

I did find one roleplaying game that I really enjoyed and it was the National Security Decision Making Game at Gen Con this year. If you enjoy politics, government, history, and international relations, this is the game for you.

The Revolution is a great topic. I enjoy reading the Saratoga Campaign and Cornwallis Campaign in the South. I just recently got We the People and am itching to try out this wargame.
